James Ellsworth Gyde III
August 12, 1934 – December 4, 2016
James Ellsworth Gyde III, 82 of St. Cloud, FL passed away on December 4, 2016. Jim was born in Wallace, ID on August 12, 1934 to James E. Gyde Jr. and Kathryn (Ragsdale) Gyde and attended Wallace High School and University of Idaho.
He was married to Ann (Braun) Gyde on November 29, 1969 in Dallas, TX.
Jim worked as a Program Manager for Rockwell-Collins, in the communications industry selling and installing microwave systems and towers. His career allowed him to travel the world and share incredible stories of his many adventures with those lucky enough to know him. Jim was also an Eagle Scout, an avid fisherman and Korean War Veteran. He valiantly fought Parkinson’s Disease for over 25 years determined to not be defined by his diagnosis. Above all he was the kindest, most gracious and determined individual that the world was blessed to be graced with.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife Ann Gyde, brother Gary Peterson, son James (Jamie) Ellsworth Gyde IV, wife Althea Gyde, daughter Maggie (Gyde) Feria and her husband Tom Feria. He was proud grandfather to Jamie and Althea’s children, Lillian, Kathryn, James Ellsworth Gyde V. and Wesley Adcock (step grandson).
He is preceded in death by his father, James Gyde Jr., mother Kathryn Gyde and brother, Thomas R. Gyde.
