Scott David Polodna

Judge Scott David Polodna, 51 of Kissimmee, passed away December 6, 2016 after a courageous fight with lung cancer. He was born in Harvey, Illinois, on May 18, 1965 to Paul and Donna Verstegen Polodna.  After graduating from the University of Florida with his Juris Doctorate degree in 1990, Scott moved from Gainesville to Kissimmee.   While working at Osceola County Courthouse he met Debra Key.  Scott asked Debra to be his wife before the Florida vs Florida State game in 1993.   Even though the Gators lost that day, Scott and Debra were married on May 14, 1994.  He always said he got the best of the Key girls.  In 2000, Scott and Debra were blessed with triplets, two boys and a girl.  They had another son in 2004.  Scott was appointed to the Circuit Court bench in 2006 where he has presided over Criminal and later Civil court cases at the Osceola County Courthouse. He was a Member of First Baptist Church Kissimmee, Rotary of Kissimmee, KVLS, Osceola County Historical Society, Orange County Bar Association and Osceola County Bar Association.
Scott’s main focus was his family and the community.  He could be seen volunteering and attending various events through:  St. Cloud Challenger League baseball, Special Olympics, Osceola Arts, City of St. Cloud basketball, 4-H, Osceola County Fair, helping out the Sunday School and other church events, Osceola County Historical Society, and Relay for Life.
Survived by wife: Debra Key Polodna; daughter: Morgan Polodna; sons: Alex, Garrett and Connor Polodna; step-daughter: Mallory (Jacob) Corbin; brother: Mike (Jan) Polodna; sister: Michelle High; father: Paul (Barbara) Polodna; mother: Donna Verstegen and two grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 12, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, 1700 John Young Pkwy, Kissimmee, 34741, with the Reverend Tim Wilder officiating. Interment to follow in Rose Hill cemetery, Kissimmee.
Visitation for friends will be Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 5:00P.M. To 7:00 P.M. at the Roger C. Thompson Memorial Chapel, Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home.
