Albert Melvin Bollen

Albert “Al” Bollen, 69 of St. Cloud, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend entered into the Kingdom of God Thursday, September 17, 2015 after a brave and courageous battle with Lung Cancer.
Al was born in Rockmart, GA on January 1, 1946, to William “Pink” and Lola Mae. He grew up in the Metro Atlanta area and bravely served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam war.
Upon returning stateside he met the love of his life, Sharon, they were married in 1970, had two sons, and moved to St. Cloud, Florida in 1977 where they currently reside.
Al’s pride was his family; he loved big family gatherings, whether it be at home in St. Cloud, or visiting family in Georgia, California or Washington state. Al is survived by his wife, Sharon; their children, James “Jamie” Bollen and Jason “Jake” Bollen. Al “Pop” has five grandchildren, Tyler,Justin, Jesse of Eatonville, WA and Landon and Presley, St. Cloud, FL. His sister, Jean Cason of Tracy, CA and brother-in-laws he considered his brothers, Mike, Randy and Mark Harden. He was also blessed with an abundance of nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Al loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed walking the woods with his beloved dogs. He enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Las Vegas and Reno with family and friends.
Cruising was also a favorite mode of travel. Many wonderful memories cruising with his wife in his later years. Jackpot!
Al never lacked affection and a good sense of humor. He will be remembered for his wit and generosity.
A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 25th at 11:00 AM. at Conrad & Thompson
Funeral Home 511 Emmett Street, Kissimmee, FL. With The Reverend Dr. Bob Reaves, Officiating. Immediately following he will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with Full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Hospice of the Comforter, 605 Montgomery Road, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714
