Donald C. Rapp, 70 of 1726 King phillip Dr., Kissimmee, FL, formerly of Princeton, IL, passed peacefully to heaven at his home, on September 22, 2014.
Donald Carl Rapp was born November 18, 1943 in Princeton, IL, the son of Robert and Ruth (Eggers) Rapp. He attended Dover Grade School in Dover, IL., and graduated from Princeton High in 1962. He served in the Army National Guard from November 1963 until honorably discharged in November 1969. He was an American Legion member and long time Elks member. He was also a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee.
Donald Married Sandra Perricone on November 18, 1967 at St. Gertrudes Church in Seatonville, IL. He was raised on a farm and continued farming until his retirement in 2002. Donald carried a very deep love for his family and he cherished the time spent with them. He enjoyed fishing in Northern Wisconsin and was an avid lure collector. After moving to Florida he enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends in Illinois, Wisconsin, and North Dakota.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; mother, Ruth Rapp of Princeton, IL., two daughters, Brenda (Greg) Echevarria of Kissimmee, FL, and Christina (Scott) Cornman of Sorrento, Florida, three grandchildren, Noah Cornman, Lily Cornman and Sandra Cornman, his brother, Bob (Terry) Rapp of Princeton, IL., three nephews, Vince Rapp, Doug Rapp and Andrew Rapp. He was preceded in death by his father.
Cremation Rights will be accorded and handled by Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home in Kissimmee, Florida. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1603 N. Thacker Ave., Kissimmee, Florida 34741. Memorials may be directed to Cornerstone Hospice or Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
