LaPlante, Rene
Rene LaPlante, 85 of Kissimmee passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at home with his family by his side. He was born in Miami, Florida and moved to Kissimmee in 1985 from Kaneohe, Hawaii. Renee was a retired as a Commissioned Warrant Officer in the United States Coast Guard and served his country faithfully and with distinction for many years. He also retired as an independent insurance agent and securities general agent. He was also a member of the Neptune Road Baptist Church in Kissimmee.
Renee is survived by his loving wife, Nellie of Kissimmee; son: Vincent of Kissimmee; daughter: Lana Banwell of Kaneohe, HI and one grandson: Christopher Banwell.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Rene LaPlante will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home with Reverend A.J. Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery where Renee will receive Full Military Honors.
