Paul Christian, 83, was born in Caretta, West Virginia on May 21, 1931 to James and Helena Dean Christian and went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2015. Paul and his family moved to Kissimmee in 1963 as a part owner in a stainless steel kitchen equipment business called Schatz Kitchen Equipment. In 1971, he opened Florida Custom Fabricators, Inc. They built kitchens for schools, restaurants and businesses all over Florida. He was a craftsman, pilot, enjoyed hunting and fishing, going on cruises and being with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Mike, brother Robert Christian, sisters Fay Lewis and Linda Christian and his special friend Joyce MacArthur. He is survived by sisters Ruth Parrish, OH; Elsie Drayer, SC; and Pat Carter, VA; daughters Cathy (Rusty) Thacker; Karen (Bob) Gray; and son Phil (Tammy) Christian; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He served in the U.S. Army in Japan during the Korean War. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Kissimmee Jaycees. Services will be Friday, January 30th at 11:00am at Conrad Thompson Funeral Home, 511 West Emmett Street, Kissimmee, Florida, with the Rev. Dr. Barbara Riddle, officiating. Graveside services will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery with Full Military Honors by the Osceola County Veterans Council.
