Evans, Sherry Gayle
Sherry Gayle Evans, 70 of Kissimmee, passed away July 07, 2014. A member of a Pioneer Osceola County Family. Sherry was born in Kissimmee, the daughter of Clyde E. Story and Jean Bass Story, a was a lifelong resident.
She was a clerk for The Osceola County Clerk of The Courts office, was a former co-owner of Saddle Rack Western Store in Downtown Kissimme and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kissimmee. Also she was a 15 years member and passed chairman in 2012 of the Community Redevelopment Association (CRA) and was a lifetime honorary member of the Silver Spurs Club .
Sherry was a graduate of Osceola High School Class of 1962 and was much involved in her grand-children’s sports, never missing Lindsey Evans Softball games, Tyler Evans Football games and attended all the games that Trey Evans was Student Athletic Trainer at St. Cloud High School.
Survived by son; Delen (Leslie) Evans, Kissimmee; sisters, Robyn Planchard, Atlanta, GA; Melanie (Gerry) Alonso, East Greenwich, R.I.; brothers, Bobby (Maureen) Story, Intercession City; Dirk (Betsy) Story, Orlando; 3 grandchildren, Tyler Evans, Trey Evans and Lindsey Evans; extended family, Suzy and Brad Lennox of St. Cloud.
Visitation for friends will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home.
Graveside funeral services for Sherry will be held at 11:00 A.M. Sunday, July 13, 2014 in Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee with the Reverend Harold C. Epperson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Give Kids The World, 210 S. Bass Road, Kisimmee, FL. 34746 or to a favorite charity.
