Partin, Constance “Connie” Autrey
Constance “Connie” Autrey Partin, 99 of Kissimmee passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 with her family by her side. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Born in Autreyville, Georgia on November 6, 1914 to Daniel Leroy Autrey and Elizabeth Parker Autrey. She moved to Kissimmee, Florida in the spring of 1924. She graduated from Osceola High School in 1933, after high school she attended the Ringling School of Arts in Sarasota, Florida in 1934 and the Orlando Business School in 1935. She married Edward L. “Geech” Partin in June of 1936 and started her family and as her husband “Geech” always said 3 kings and 2 queens. She was a long standing member of The First United Methodist Church of Kissimmee and known to many as Ms. Connie. She was a long standing member of the Florida Cattlemen’s Association, on of the founding members of the Silver Spurs Club that was founded in 1941. She was the oldest and longest member of the Silver Spurs Club at the time of her death and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993. She was also a longstanding member of the Osceola County Cattlewomen’s Association. She was also a member of the Tuesday Bridge Club. She designed and sewed the first Silver Spurs Rodeo Flag.
She is survived by three sons: Ed (Sharon) Partin of St. Cloud, FL, Mike (Janet) Partin of Mountalba, TX, Roy (Diane) Partin of Bagwell, TX; Two daughters: Judy (Jack) Wallace of St. Cloud, FL, Kathy (Alan) Baker of Kissimmee, FL; 19 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home. A service to celebrate the life of Constance A. Partin will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Kissimmee with the Reverend Dr. Bob Wooten officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, 2486 Cecil Webb Place, Live Oak, Florida 32064 or your favorite charity.
